Cure Tooth Decay by Ramiel Nagel
Ramiel Nagel, author of Cure Tooth Decay devised a dental health program based on what worked for him and his family (he had 4 cavities that disappeared within 4 years and his daughter's teeth also remineralized), after reading about the research and clinical success of the dentists Dr. Weston A. Price and Drs. Edward and May Mellanby, and put it into an excellent book: http://www.curetoothdecay.com
My own dental health has improved since employing his tips and some others I came up with. My gums are less inflamed, I have less dental plaque and a cavity has started to heal.
His recommended foods that I currently eat:
Organic (100% grassfed beef) Liver
Grassfed Meats
Vegetables
Bone marrow
Bone broth
Green Pastures Blue Ice raw fermented cod liver oil and High Vitamin Butter Oil (or a blend of the two)
Cheese (I eat some raw sheep's cheese--sheep's cheese is higher in nutrients and more easily digested than cow or goat cheese)
Organic (pastured) Butter
Other dental-health-promoting foods I eat:
Great Lakes Gelatin
Raw suet (aka perinephric fat)
Raw fertilized chicken eggs and raw duck eggs
Raw coconut meat
Centrifuged coconut oil (Wilderness Family Naturals)
Douglas Fir Spring Tip Wild Harvested Tea
His recommended foods that I don't currently eat:
Raw Milk
Cream
Vegetable Juice
His other recommendations I don't use:
Blotting-style tooth brush [Didn't seem very effective to me.]
Tooth soap [Did your mother ever make you wash your mouth out with soap? It's like that.]
Other tools and therapies I use:
Oxycare Oral Irrigator (supposed to be better than a Waterpik)
Braun electric toothbrush and standard soft toothbrush
Theraneem Neem mouthwash, toothpaste and tooth & gum powder
Quantum Gum Cream (myrrh, neem, essential tea tree oil, ...)
Dental floss and tongue scraper (I haven't needed these as much since employing everything else above)
For good dental health, it's probably wise not to overdo it on fruits, especially if you're not consuming lots of antibacterials from plant sources like teas. Wild primates that consume lots of fruits and not much phenols are prone to dental caries. From Wild Health By Cindy Engel:
"Kenneth Glander, director of primate research at Duke Primate Center, studied the teeth of more than 950 mantled howler monkeys in South America and found a complete absence of cavities and gum disease. These monkeys not only have a low-sugar diet, they also eat a great quantity of cashew pedicels (Anacardium occidentale)-which contain the phenolic compounds anacardic acid and cardol that are active against tooth-decay bacteria. This diet of low sugar and high phenols may be helping to protect the monkeys against tooth decay. Phenols such as tannins are common in many plants, and are known to inhibit the growth of Streptococcus mutans, a main protagonist in tooth decay.
Chimpanzees, which eat far more sugary fruit than howler monkeys, suffer from both tooth decay and gum disease. To cope with this ailment, they chew on antibacterial barks-which local people use to keep teeth healthy-and inspect and clean each other's teeth. In captivity, one chimpanzee was even seen to pry out the bad teeth of another by means of a simple wooden lever she had made."

Forget Filling Cavities: Regrow Your Teeth Instead, Thursday, July 01, 2010 by: Kim Evans, http://www.naturalnews.com/029112_teeth_regeneration.html
"You'll just need two things: comfrey root and organic eggshells. ... Many cavities can be completely regrown within a month or two with regular use. ... As a note, comfrey root can be a little hard on your liver so if you have liver problems, you'll want to avoid using comfrey. After your teeth have regrown, you'll also want to end the use of comfrey so as not to over do it."
